The goal of call recording must be to record only the calls that have to be recorded. Vidicode recorders use several procedures to help you record exactly the calls you need. A white list is a list of all internal and external telephone numbers of which you want every call to be recorded. A black list is just the opposite, in this list you specify the telephone numbers that should be excluded from automated recording. It is possible (if the systems operator allows) to start and stop recording manually. It is a less reliable method than automated recording, In a critical situation persons involved might forget to start the recording or be too late. To manually stop recording after an automated start is a better idea. If employees are allowed to stop the recording of their calls it will make them feel much more comfortable about recording. There are several procedures to delete recordings.
White listing is to make a list of all numbers that you want to have recorded. Blacklisting is the opposite; a list of numbers that you do not want to record. The white list and the blacklist may contain internal numbers and external numbers. So called wildcards can be part of the number. Examples of numbers on the white list can be internal numbers as all your sales persons and the technical support as internal numbers and the financial institutions and transportation companies that you are dealing with as external numbers. Examples of numbers on a blacklist might be the private home numbers of employees and the number of the personnel medical advisor. Because wildcards are possible, you can fine tune the recording even more. You may decide to record all calls to Amsterdam in The Netherlands. |
